Azlyn Cato

Multimedia Journalist 

Hi there! My name is Azlyn Cato, and I am a multimedia journalist with a knack for writing and storytelling. I am currently a senior at the University of Central Florida, specializing in print and digital news. Graduating in May 2026, I'm excited to bring my creativity, curiosity, and dedication to every story I tell.

Right now, I serve as an editorial intern for Oviedo Community News and as news editor for The Charge, UCF's digital student newspaper. I also do freelance writing and photography for Orlando Weekly and The Community Paper. 

As a journalist, my goal is to uncover voices that want to be heard and share stories that need to be told. I’m deeply passionate about photojournalism, music writing and investigative reporting, and I’m driven to uncover a wide range of stories that inform, inspire and connect communities.
